5G Advanced is the only way to the era of "intelligent computing everywhere"

     As the second stage of 5G evolution, 5G Advanced can improve the connection capacity of traditional 5G technology and networks in terms of speed, delay, and capacity. As a driving force for 5G research and development, commercialization and scaling, Qualcomm has introduced 5G Advanced-Ready architecture in its latest two generations of Snapdragon 5G modems and RF systems to provide readiness for 5G Advanced across multiple segments.

     At present, 5G Advanced is ushering in accelerated landing and supporting more expanded features, which will enable 5G to enter a wider range of industries and applications. Qualcomm has also actively joined hands with industry partners to complete the commercial verification of new 5G Advanced features such as end-to-end 5G 10 Gigabit rate, downlink multi-carrier aggregation and higher order modulation and demodulation technology to meet the growing data needs of more scenarios and businesses.

     While enabling the digital transformation of thousands of industries, 5G Advanced has also officially opened the era of "wireless AI". From cloud to network to terminal, AI plays a key role in optimizing and improving modern 5G networks. Connectivity is critical for enabling generative AI to scale across the cloud, edge, and end side. The deep integration and mutual promotion of 5G and AI is expected to accelerate generative AI into people's lives.

     On the terminal side, Qualcomm has created a high-performance AI processor, so that mobile terminals can run generative AI anytime and anywhere; Qualcomm is also actively exploring the role of AI in various types of terminals, including mobile phones, PCS, automobiles, industrial equipment and other types. Taking mobile phones as an example, Qualcomm launched the first mobile platform designed for generative AI in October last year - the third-generation Snapdragon 8, with strong AI capabilities and a number of leading features, opening a new AI-based upgrade cycle for the smartphone market. In terms of PCS, Qualcomm has released the Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus series platforms, which bring ultra-fast NPU to PCS with up to 45 TOPS of computing power.

     5G Advanced will not only further unlock the full potential of 5G, but will also lay the foundation for 6G technology and accelerate innovation in the next decade. As 5G Advanced continues to evolve, and in the face of a series of Release 19 project scope launches, Qualcomm is ready to take 5G Advanced to a new height.
