A PCB connector product line that supports the safety standards of most industrial and household appliances

     TE Connectivity (TE) announced the expansion of its RAST-compliant PCB (printed circuit board) connector product line to support safety standards for most industrial and home appliances. With an expanded portfolio of sizes, colors, pin layouts and plating options, the new TE PCB connectors are ideal for major home appliances and other wire-to-board connector and control device applications.

     Joerg Vesper, TE Product Manager, said, "For many years, TE has held a leading position in the global RAST master market. Available in a wide variety of options, our new PCB connectors (male) comply with most industrial and household appliance safety standards including UL94-V0, IEC 60335-1 (GWT 750°C) and are UL, VDE and CQC certified.

     This product expansion enables TE to provide customers with a more optimized product portfolio and more flexible solutions to help customers more calmly respond to the diverse needs of the home appliance market. In addition, this product is manufactured in TE's Qingdao plant in China, which also provides a guarantee for TE to better respond to domestic demand and accelerate the delivery cycle."

     TE introduced two PCB connectors this time. PCB connectors with a pitch of 5 mm that complies with RAST 5 standard provide 2 to 8 positions and 3 pin layouts, while PCB connectors with a pitch of 2.5 mm that complies with RAST 2.5 standard provide 3 to 15 positions, 1 pin layout, and two types of external and internal locking. Both models can be tinned or silver-plated, with a variety of different colors and installation positions to meet customer customization needs and save costs.
