A packet switch that provides better data channel versatility for automotive systems

     Diodes has introduced a new line of PCI Express (PCIe) 3.0 technology packet exchangers specifically for a new generation of in-vehicle networking applications. These products use an architecture that supports flexible port configurations, assigning uplink, downlink, and cross-network Domain a endpoint Device (CDEP) ports as needed.

     The PI7C9X3G606GPQ provides 6-port / 6-channel operation, the PI7C9X3G808GPQ provides 8-port / 8-channel operation, and the PI7C9X3G816GPQ provides 8-port / 16-channel operation. These switch products are specifically designed for applications such as ADAS, telematics, infotainment systems, and the ongoing evolution of local area network architecture controllers.

     These PCIe packet exchanger products provide superior signal integrity performance, support long line distances and control losses to ＜ 30dB; They can connect up to seven different endpoint devices and support Multi-Host applications. Each switch product has a built-in low-power frequency buffer, which can effectively simplify the design, save space, and reduce the number of related components. Its typical delay is only 150ns.

     With the freedom to choose between 6 and 16 channels, engineers using these new packet switch products enjoy maximum flexibility, use the most appropriate options, and develop projects quickly. Advanced power management features ensure continuous energy efficient operation.
