A range of sealed push switches for industrial and engineering/off-road vehicles

     C&K, one of the world's most trusted brands of high-quality electromechanical switches, has announced the launch of the new PNP3 series of sealed push switches with an additional coverless option. The new switches are suitable for demanding applications such as control handles, engineering/off-road vehicle panels, industrial instruments, elevator and conveyor controls.

     Manufactured in a black PBT/PC thermoplastic housing with built-in silicone rubber seals and protection rating IP68, the switch is ideal for harsh environments and power flush applications, or anywhere that may be exposed to dust, water or other harmful ingredients. The PNP series switches are tested for vibration (10 to 500Hz) and shock (up to 50g) with a rated life of up to 1,000,000 times.

     Its micromotion features provide positive tactile feedback, while operating forces as low as 3N reduce operator fatigue. Designed for front panel mounting, the switch has a threaded body and is available as standard with a domed outer ring. The PNP series (including PNP8) switches are available in a variety of starter types and colors, and can also be specified in a new coverless design, thus providing designers with greater flexibility.

     Silver contacts can handle resistive currents up to 5A, and gold plated silver contact designs are also available for low current applications down to 10mA. Optional circuits include instantaneous SPST NC, SPST NO and SPDT - all in a double-break design.
