ADN4620 3.75kVrms dual channel LVDS 2.5 Gigabit isolator

     The ADN4620 of ADI is a dual channel, signal isolated, low voltage differential signal (LVDS) buffer with a working rate of up to 2.5 Gbps and very low jitter. These devices integrate enhanced ADI iCoupler technology to achieve high-speed operation, thus providing plug-in current isolation of LVDS signal chain to LVDS receiver and AC coupling and/or level conversion from LVDS driver to allow isolation of other high-speed signals, such as current mode logic (CML).

     The ADN4620 includes a refresh mechanism to monitor input and output status and ensure that it remains unchanged without data conversion (for example, when powered on). For high-speed operation with low power consumption and low jitter, the isolator circuit depends on 1.8 V power supply. In contrast, the LVDS receiver uses a 3.3 V power supply to support the entire common mode range. According to Table 2 in the specification, the input voltage range (input common mode plus differential input voltage) is 0 V to 2.4 V.

     These devices are fully applicable to a wide industrial temperature range. They are packaged in compact SSOP with a creepage distance of 5.3 mm (for enhanced insulation under AC mains voltage).
