AMETEK Programmable Power Division announces new 4U High 4.5kVA/6kVA AC-DC power supply products

     AMETEK's programmable Power division has released two new models of the Asterion family of AC-DC power supplies, Asterion4503 and Asterion6003. The Asterion4503 offers 4500VA or 4500W power output, and the Asterion6003 offers 6000VA or 6000W power output. Both models are 4U rack height with both single-phase and three-phase output capabilities.

     Using the 1U/2U height low power Asterio series AC and DC power supply design, the Asterion4503 and Asterion6003 also have outstanding intelligent control, excellent performance and flexible modular configuration characteristics, which make them the most adaptable and cost-effective power supply products today.

     At the heart of Asterion's breakthrough performance lies AMETEK's original powerful iX2 current doubling technology. Using this technology, the output current of the Asterion power supply can be increased to twice the rated current when the output voltage is dropped to half the rated voltage. This ensures that Asterion power supplies can achieve full power output over an extremely wide voltage range. As a result, the iX2 current multiplier technology can help customers save costs in test applications that require different voltage levels, such as low-voltage line testing, without having to purchase multiple power supplies or overpower supplies to complete the test.

     Asterion power supplies have excellent performance indicators. Asterion supplies offer extremely wide AC and DC voltage output ranges up to 400VAC for AC and 500VDC for DC, with load adjustment and linear adjustment rates of ±0.025% and ±0.015%, which make them more accurate than most AC power supplies on the market.

     Another unique advantage of Asterion power supplies is the ability to achieve higher output power or multi-phase system configurations through automatic parallel and clock/lock functions. Users can parallel six devices to achieve a maximum power output of 36kVA, one device as the host, the rest as the slave; Users can also configure split phase, three phase, or even more multiphase systems according to their needs.
