Abracon introduces 10ppb thermostatic crystal oscillator for precise and punctual applications

     Abracon Surface Mount (SMD) isothermal Crystal oscillator (OCXO) product line is continuously enriched, with the launch of AOC2012/AOC1409 and AOC2522A/ AOC2522B series OCXOs. These OCXO products are integrated with quartz crystal resonators of SC cut and high Q value, combined with precise temperature monitoring and control circuit design, so that the product series can meet the Stratum 3 and 3E system requirements.

     The OCXO series is ideal for 5G or GPS applications that require high precision temperature stability, low phase noise, and precise punctuality, such as base stations, cellular cell towers, Internet data centers, and satellite and aerospace communications.

     The excellent temperature stability and ultra-low daily aging rate (±1ppb) of OCXO can help the system achieve all-weather punctuality accuracy of ±15ppb, depending on the system conditions. The precise punctuality or clock-keeping function of the local system extends the effective uptime of the system when the reference clock is lost. This is an important consideration when designing RF, networking, telecommunications, GPS, and reference timing applications. In addition, the excellent short-stability performance can also improve the timing time and overall accuracy of narrowband PLL in GPS applications.

     The AOC1409 series has a package size of 14.9 x 9.7 x 7.0 (6-pin) and an output frequency of 20MHz. AOC2012 Series has a package size of 20.32 x 12.70 x 11.00mm (4-pin) and an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. The package size of AOC2522 series is 25.4 x 22 x 12.7mm (5 pins), and the long and stable performance (including 20 years of aging) is up to ±750ppb. The AOC1409 and AOC2522 series operate at temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C.
