Advanced Energy introduces the multi-output Ascent MS medium frequency AC power solution

Advanced Energy has announced the launch of the industry-leading new Ascent MS multioutput power system. Ascent MS is a successful medium frequency AC power solution that builds on Advanced Energy's commitment to bringing innovative power technologies to the process equipment necessary to produce advanced photovoltaic solar cells. Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) systems for the production of photovoltaic solar cells have the advantage of minimizing the system and infrastructure costs associated with the process equipment.

The company announced the launch of a new, industry-leading Ascent MS multioutput power system. Ascent MS is a successful medium frequency AC power solution that builds on Advanced Energy's commitment to bringing innovative power technologies to the process equipment necessary to produce advanced photovoltaic solar cells. Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) systems for the production of photovoltaic solar cells have the advantage of minimizing the system and infrastructure costs associated with the process equipment.

 

     A single Ascent MS power supply system supports up to five individual graphite boat chambers on passivated emitter and Back contact (PERC) PECVD process equipment, helping to optimize power delivery and simplify coating system design. The Ascent MS power supply system, with its quick-connect power outlet and simplified control points, cooling water and electrical input interfaces, provides a more optimized equipment architecture for the entire PERC PECVD coating process, simplifies equipment installation, makes line operation more stable and reliable, and significantly reduces equipment costs. The Ascent MS power supply system can support up to five PECVD graphite boat chambers, enabling PV solar equipment manufacturers to develop more cost-effective PECVD equipment.
