The Allegro MicroSystems ARG81402 Multi-output regulator allows power loads such as microprocessors, sensors and communications transceivers and is ideal for automotive and industrial applications. The ARG81402 is highly integrated with a synchronous step-down 5.35V preregulator, five LDO outputs, a configurable watchdog, and dedicated pins for power-on reset output (NPOR). In addition, the device provides a self-generated security status output and a fault flag output to warn the microprocessor that a failure has occurred.
The Allegro MicroSystems ARG81402 Multi-output regulator is installed in a low-key 32-pin, 5mm x 5mm, 0.5mm spaced QFN package (suffix "ET") with exposed heat pads and wettable sides to allow solder spot inspection.
Features
● Control and diagnostic reporting via serial Peripheral interface (SPI)
● Wide input voltage range (6VIN to 36VIN operating range, up to 40VIN)
● 2.2MHz Synchronous step-down 5.35V preregulator (VREG) integration and efficiency
● Five internal linear regulators with folding short circuit protection
● 3.3V and 4 x 5V output (one of which features remote sensor for short time to battery protection)
● OV and UV protection for all output tracks provides the ability to monitor output health
● Each pin to pin and pin to ground tolerance
● Three configurable watchdog features fail-safe pulse periods, Windows, Q& Watchdog
● Power-on reset signal (NPOR) indicating 3.3V output failure, optionally 1.3V input monitor (for self-powered core voltage) and watchdog failure
● Security signal (POE) can disable separate functions (for example, motor drive) due to a watchdog failure
● Each pin to pin and pin to ground tolerance
● 5mm × 5mm eQFN wettable side package, small solution size, good heat resistance, solder Angle is guaranteed
