Allegro introduces new ASIL certified BLDC MOSFET drivers

     Allegro announced the introduction of a new ISO-26262 compliant n-channel power MOSFET driver, the AMT49105, which simplifies motor system design and reduces PCB area by integrating the required power simulation system.

     Allegro MicroSystems, a global leader in power device and sensor technology, announced the introduction of a new ISO-26262 compliant n-channel power MOSFET driver, the AMT49105, that simplifies motor system design. The PCB area is reduced by integrating the required power simulation system.

     Thanks to its powerful output drive capability, the AMT49105 is suitable for a wide range of applications, including power applications greater than 1KW. In addition, the AMT49105 integrates a LIN transceiver, an MCU regulated power supply, a phase monitor for non-inductive brushless direct current motor (BLDC) control, and other unique features that reduce the total power consumption of today's energy-efficient vehicles.

     The AMT49105 is ideal for high-power, inductive load automotive safety and industrial applications with supply voltages of 5.5V to 50V, such as engine cooling fans, braking and various pump applications. Its advanced diagnostic capabilities monitor and indicate system failures, internal failures, and output power level failures to ensure safe system operation. The AMT49105 is ISO-26262 compliant and meets ASIL-B requirements.

     The AMT49105 is available in a small 48-pin QFN package with an exposed thermal pad for approximately 40% less packaging than the equivalent QFP. The AMT49105 is lead-free and the pin frame is 100% mist tin plated.
