Allows testing of current with smaller comparator and amplifier packages without changing existing PCBS

     Texas Instruments' SURFACE-MOUNT-ADAPTER-EVM Evaluation Module (EVMs) allows engineers to test current, smaller comparator and amplifier packages without the need to turn a user's existing circuit board. These evaluation modules convert the most popular small packages into the familiar larger occupancy, such as the 8, 14, and 16 occupancy of SOIC, VSSOP, and TSSOP.

     This option saves effort and time by helping engineers verify that devices will meet design goals before they need to adjust the layout of printed circuit boards (PCB). Once the design evaluation is complete, engineers can use these evaluation modules as a reference to achieve a dual-occupancy space layout that accepts both smaller and larger packages. Alternatively, users can reduce PCB size by optimizing a smaller package layout. Ti's surface mount adapter evm is available in four different options.
