Altera and Eutecus FPGA-based single-chip solutions provide smart vision 'eyes' for smart cities

Altera Corporation and strategic IP partner Eutecus announced the availability of ReCo-Pro, a multi-channel high definition (HD) video analytics platform based on Eutecus' MVE™ video and converged analytics technology. And Altera's Cyclone V SoC and Enpirion PowerSoC devices.

The ReCo platform, offered by Eutecus, was selected by Sensity Systems as the basis for adding intelligent vision processing capabilities to its high-speed optical sensing network (LSN), which is currently installed in several metropolitan areas in the United States. Sensity's open, multi-service NetSense platform enables industrial lighting users and operators to reduce energy costs while providing advanced networking services for smart city applications, such as environmental and weather monitoring, parking management, retail analytics and enhanced public safety.

The NetSense platform integrates Eutecus intelligent video and sensing analytics capabilities implemented in Altera FPGas, expanding application capabilities and further improving operational awareness, efficiency and safety.
