Ampleon announces the BLU9H0408L-800P 800W RF power transistor

     Ampleon announces the BLU9H0408L-800P 800W RF power transistor. It uses the latest Generation 9 (Gen9) (50V) LDMOS process technology from Efulon and is specifically designed for high-power radar systems operating in the 400MHz to 800MHz ultra-high frequency (UHF) band.

     The BLU9H0408L-800P is ideal for high-power long-range radar systems, supporting the long pulse and high duty ratio requirements of modern radars while providing excellent reliability. A typical radar system using the BLU9H0408L-800P has a life span of 15 to 20 years and does not require the supply or replacement of power amplifier modules, thus ensuring a high level of radar performance and reducing maintenance costs.

     The BLU9H0408L-800P transistor has a typical efficiency of 70%, consumes less power and requires less heat management than competing products. This not only saves energy costs, but also requires fewer radiators and cooling equipment, while taking up less physical space, which helps improve reliability and service life.

     The BLU9H0408L-800P delivers significantly higher output power per individual transistor, which further simplifies the design, component count, and energy cost of high-power UHF radar.
