Ams OSRAM ALIYOS LED-on-foil technology is redefining automotive lighting

     Ams OSram has announced that the innovative application of LED films in the automotive sector is the next step in the development of ALIYOS™ LED-on-Foil technology. This cutting-edge technology combines AMS OSram's ALIYOS™ technology with LEONHARD KURZ's innovative in-mold decoration (IMD) and functional Film bonding (FFB) technologies. The technology uses the FFB post-die hot stamping process, which allows ALIYOS LED films to be integrated into a variety of panels. Combined with the IMD surface decoration process, it provides unparalleled design flexibility and achieves unprecedented luminous effects, opening up new opportunities for the automotive lighting industry.

     With the help of in-mold decoration (IMD) and Functional Film bonding (FFB) technologies, ALIYOS features four different ultra-thin panels, each with a unique surface design and lighting effect, and 32 individually controllable red segments, creating dramatic light and shadow patterns that dramatically enhance the beauty and functionality of automotive interior and exterior lighting. When the light source is off, it can form a hidden light source design, and when it is opened, it presents a "brilliant" effect.
