Ams OSRAM AS7421 64 channel NIR sensor

     The ams OSRAM AS7421 64-channel NIR sensor is designed for spectrum recognition and space occupancy area analysis in consumer devices. The spectral response of AS7421 provides a wavelength of 750nm to 1050nm and equally distributed channels over the entire range. At the beginning of spectral measurement, all 64 channels are automatically processed by 16 parallel sampling ADCs with four continuous integration periods.

     The ams OSRAM AS7421 64-channel NIR sensor integrates the Fabry-Perot filter into standard CMOS silicon using nano-optical deposition interferometry filtering technology. The package provides a built-in keyhole and microphotonics to control the light entering the sensor array. In addition, the module provides a near infrared (NIR) light source and an integrated LED driver for controlling it.

     The sensor realizes control and spectral data access through serial I²C. GPIO and interrupt signals are available to initiate/synchronize spectral measurements and minimize I²C flow.
