Ams introduces a new green laser with high brightness, high performance and high reliability

     Ames recently announced the launch of the new PLT5 522EA_ Q green laser is suitable for horizontal measurement, scanning, biological science, point projection and other application scenarios. Compared with traditional red laser, it has higher brightness, more convenient use, more reliable and more cost competitive.

     While the industrial performance is comparable to that of the red laser, the PLT5 522EA_ Q is the first time to achieve 4 times the perceived brightness of the red laser. The green laser has undergone strict life and reliability tests, with a maximum operating temperature of 70 ° C, and its life class meets the standard requirements of industrial equipment manufacturers.

     Thomas Brandes, senior marketing manager of Ams ,said: "Compared with red laser beams, green laser beams have better visibility, which means they are more popular with users in industrial applications such as construction and measurement and remote scanning. The introduction of PLT5 522EA_Q enables manufacturers to replace red laser with green laser without affecting any aspect of product design."

     The new laser adopts TO56 metal packaging, which is compatible with the commonly used drive topology of red laser. It is easy to use, and only requires minimal modification of the existing product design.Unlike red laser, PLT5 522EA_ Q does not need to be processed by the baking machine, and its photodiode is suitable for the application scenarios that require human eye safety.
