AMS announced that the latest white -light LED product Osconiq S 5050 was launched to further expand its plant lighting product portfolio. Each crop corresponds to a ideal light formula, including the required wavelength, strong light, average lighting time and other "ingredients". In addition to increasing production and income, greenhouse planting and indoor planting pursue maximum energy saving and power saving. The Osconiq S 5050 of Aimus Oslang solves the problem of lack of energy efficiency in white light LED, which brings a lower energy consumption cost and higher energy efficiency for plant lighting.
At present, indoor plant lighting mainly uses a combination of red and blue leds, or a combination of red and white leds. In fact, the standard white leds used in plant lighting also emit light in the red wavelength range, but the standard white leds emit a similar amount of red light and consume much more energy than leds that emit red light directly. Therefore, the red light needed in plant lighting is often replaced by leds that emit red light directly in the lighting system. "Now, our new Osconiq S 5050 improves system efficiency across the red and white spectrum by reducing the amount of phosphor used to convert red light, so growers can achieve significant energy savings," said Thomas Grebner, marketing Manager, Ams Specifically, the Osconiq S 5050 uses special phosphors to reduce the red part of the spectrum, so that the white light in white leds is more "pure".
At just 5.0mm x 5.0mm x 0.7mm, the compact size of the Osconiq S 5050 allows manufacturers to achieve compact plant lighting product designs. Despite its small size, the LED has a medium power efficiency of 2.86 µmol/J and a light output of 630 mW. In addition, the product can be applied in the current range of 180 to 1050 mA, depending on the target demand, and can tolerate overvoltages up to 8 kV.
