Analog Devices AD74115H A/D converter

     Analog Devices Inc. AD74115H A/D analog-to-digital converter (with HART modem) is a single-channel, software-configurable input and output device designed for industrial control applications. The AD74115H offers a variety of use cases, including analog output, analog input, digital output, digital input, resistance temperature detector (RTD), and thermocouple measurement functions.

     The ADI AD74115H A/D converter uses a serial peripheral interface (SPI) for all communications, including the HART modem. In addition, digital input and output are accessed via SPI or Universal Input and Output (GPIO) pins to provide higher speed data rates. The AD74115H combines a 16-bit sigma-δ-type analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (DAC). The high precision 2.5V on-chip reference on the AD74115H can be used as DAC and ADC reference.

     With the ADP1034 product, power and isolation can be provided. When the ADP1034 and AD74115H are used together, programmable power control (PPC) can be provided on the forward analog power supply AVDD, resulting in an optimized power solution for end-use applications. If a monopole function is required, it enables an on-chip charge pump.
