     ADIN2111 dual port Ethernet switch of Analog Devices (ADI). Analog Devices has continuously expanded its 10BASE-T1L single pair Ethernet solution product portfolio, and introduced ADIN2111 to provide a complete single chip solution for 10BASE-T1L line, ring and daisy chain networks. Compared with the split solution, the power consumption of these switches is reduced by up to 50% and the board space is reduced by up to 75%. The ADIN2111 switch also adds long-distance Ethernet connections for controllers, sensors, and actuators to help achieve more efficient and sustainable building management.

 

     Analog Devices ADIN2111 Ethernet switch is equipped with two integrated physical layer (PHY) cores, a media access control (MAC) interface, SPI, I/O clock buffer and Analog circuits, which can provide flexible solutions for network topology and support a distance of up to 1km between nodes. The four wire SPI used to communicate with the host can be configured as OPEN Alliance SPI or universal SPI. Both modes support optional data protection or cyclic redundancy check (CRC). This integrated switch with SPI runs at 10 Mbps full duplex, supports frame forwarding of 16 MAC addresses, and has the MDIO memory mapping function accessible through SPI.

 

     ADIN2111 supports a line length of up to 1700 meters, while the power consumption is only 77 mW. The two PHY cores use a power supply voltage of 1.8 V to 3.3 V to support a data transmission voltage swing of 1 V or 2.4 V. The device can automatically forward traffic between two Ethernet ports without external management.
