Analog Devices' Dacs provide a digitally programmable current source with multiple output ranges from -60 mA to +300 mA

     Analog Devices' AD5770R 6-channel 14-bit current-output DAC features both on-chip reference and serial peripheral interfaces (SPI), providing a smaller footprint and higher power efficiency than existing offset solutions. The small form factor allows the 100G/400G coherent data module to migrate to the small Form factor CFP module while still providing the necessary output signal range and performance required for the offset laser communication module.

     The AD5770R offers a digitally programmable current source with multiple output ranges from -60 mA to +300 mA with 14-bit resolution. Each DAC channel can operate on a wide power rail from 0.8V to AV(DD) -0.4V, optimizing power efficiency with low dropout of 0.245V. This reduces the number of supporting circuits required without compromising performance, reducing design complexity and system footprint.
