Analog Devices EVAL-LT8350-AZ Evaluation Board

     Analog Devices EVAL-LT8350-AZ Evaluation board uses the LT8350 40V synchronous step-down and boost converter. When the VIN is between 9V and 40V, the LT8350 provides up to 2.5A load at 12V output, operating power down to 3VIN and output current reduction.

     The ADI EVAL-LT8350-AZ operates at 350kHz switching frequency with spread spectrum frequency modulation (SSFM) disabled. The LT8350's switching frequency is extended from fSW to fSW +25% by SSFM, which reduces EMI radiation when enabled.

     The EVAL-LT8350-AZ evaluation board adjusts undervoltage latches with several simple resistor options. The board is designed to place small high-frequency ceramic input and output capacitors near VIN and VOUT pins to reduce radiated EMI. Inductor EMI filter and small ferrite magnetic bead EMI filter are installed on the input and output of the EVAL-LT8350-AZ. This series of filters can effectively reduce EMI transmission to CISPR25 Class 5 conducted EMI by using appropriate circuit board layout and SSFM.
