ADI's LT8350 is a single-chip 4-switch synchronous step-up-boost converter with Silent Switcher architecture that maximizes EMI radiation while providing high efficiency at high switching frequencies. The device can adjust the output voltage, input or output current. The input voltage can be higher, lower or equal to the output voltage.

The LT8350 of ADI is a monolithic four switch synchronous buck boost converter, which uses the Silent Switcher architecture to minimize EMI radiation and provide high efficiency at high switching frequencies. The device can adjust the output voltage, input or output current, and the input voltage can be higher, lower or equal to the output voltage. The proprietary peak current mode control scheme allows adjustable and synchronized 200 kHz to 2 MHz fixed frequency operation, or spread spectrum frequency modulation (SSFM) operation.

The LT8350 has an input voltage range of 3V to 40V, an output voltage capacity of 1V to 18V, and seamless low-noise conversion between work areas. It is an ideal choice for the application of voltage regulators, batteries, and supercapacitor chargers in automotive, industrial，telecommunications, and battery power supply systems.

The LT8350 provides input or output current monitoring and good power supply marking. In addition, robust fault protection is provided to detect output short circuit conditions. During fault protection, the LT8350 can be retried, locked or kept running.

The evaluation circuit EVAL-LT8350-AZ is a 40 V synchronous buck boost converter using the LT8350. When the VIN is between 9 V and 40 V, a load of up to 2.5 A can be driven at 12 V output. The input voltage can be as low as 3 VIN and the output current will decrease. EVAL-LT8350-AZ operates at 350 kHz switching frequency, and spread spectrum modulation (SSFM) is disabled. When enabled, SSFM expands the switching frequency of LT8350 from fSW to fSW+25% to reduce EMI radiation
