Analog Devices LT8355-1 dual-channel LED controller

     Analog Devices LT8355-1 Dual-channel LED Controller is a dual-channel constant frequency, constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV) step-up power level controller designed to drive two strings of high-current leds. With a fixed-frequency, current-mode architecture, the LT8355-1 operates stably over a wide range of power supplies and output voltages. Voltage feedback pins can be used as inputs for a variety of LED protection features, enabling the converter to be used as a constant voltage source.

     The LT8355-1 can detect the output current of the high or low side of the load. The CTRL2 and IADJ2 input products provide analog programming for the output current of channel 2. The output current of channel 1 is programmed through CTRL1 input. PWM input and PWMTG high-side PMOS drivers feature time-based precision LED dimming. When driven by an external digital signal, the PWM input provides up to 20,000:1 LED dimming ratio at 100Hz. When driven by a constant voltage, the PWM input selects from one of 128 internally generated precision, exponentially spaced dimming ratios in the range of 0.78% to 100%.
