Analog Devices LTM4686B Demo Board (DC3089A) is an evaluation platform for the LTM4686B single 28A μModule regulator. The LTM4686B has a digital power management system that communicates via PMBus. This function is an open standard digital interface protocol based on I2C. The device is also remotely configurable. The LTM4686B integrates a high-precision mixed-signal circuit, EEPROM, power MOSFET, fast analog control loop, inductor, and support components.
The LTM4686B demo board is powered by default and generates power according to the configured resistor without any serial bus communication. This feature enables easy evaluation of DC-DC converters.
The demo board can also be connected to a PC via the DC1613A USB-to-I2C /SMBus/PMBus controller. The LTpowerPlay software then enables the user to reconfigure the part on the go and store the configuration in EEPROM to view telemetry of voltage, current, temperature, and fault status.
