Audio application demonstration and development platform based on SAM G55 microcontroller

     Microchip Technology SAM G55 Audio Curiosity Board (EV78Y10A) is a SAM G55 microcontroller-based audio application demonstration and development platform. The SAM G55 mcu is a high performance, low power device based on a 320bit Arm Cortex-M4 RISC processor and FPU(floating point unit).

     The SAM G55 mcu operates at a maximum speed of 120MHz, with 512Kbytes of flash memory and up to 176Kbytes of SRAM. The peripherals include eight flexible communication units, including usart, spi and I(2) c bus interfaces (TWIs), two 16-bit timers, two I(2)S controllers, an 8-channel 12-bit ADC, a real-time timer (RTT) and a real-time clock (RTC).

     Microchip Technology SAMG55 Audio Curiosity Board features the ATSAMG55J19 MCU pre-installed in the LQFP-64 package. The Audio Curiosity Board includes an integrated programmer and debugger (EDBG) that requires no additional hardware. Users can easily expand functionality through the MikroElectronika mikroBUS Click adapter board and add Wi-Fi connectivity using the Xplained Pro expansion board. Audio input and output capabilities can be added using Microchip audio subboards via the X32 interface.
