Bosch BMI323 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)

     The Bosch BMI323 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) combines accurate acceleration and angular velocity (gyroscope) measurements with a smart on-chip motion-triggered interrupt function. The 6-axis IMU integrates a 16-bit triaxial gyroscope, a 16-bit triaxial accelerometer, and a 16-bit digital temperature sensor on a single chip.

     The BMI323 provides fast and accurate inertial detection in all applications. The BMI323 sensor features a stationary CRT (component realign) function that self-aligns the gyroscope to compensate for the typical weld drift of MEMS, thereby reducing the post-weld sensitivity error to ±0.7%. The device includes embedded gesture and activity recognition, integrated plug and play pedometer/detector, optimized for accurate step counting in wrist-worn devices. Imus are ideal for other types of wearables, such as earpieces, smart fitness trackers, and other mobile devices.

     BMI323 IMU is optimized for embedded consumer electronics devices. The sensor has a very wide VDD and VDDIO supply voltage range. Performance and current consumption remain stable throughout the supply voltage range. The BMI323 has I2C, I3C and SPI digital interfaces.

     The sensor API optimizes the embedded feature set for wearables, earpieces, and mobile device scenarios. The Bosch BMI323 inertial measurement Unit comes in a miniature 2.5mm x 3.0mm x 0.83mm LGA package, ideal for space-constrained applications.
