Bosch Sensortec has a long history of designing and manufacturing air quality sensors and is a leader in the industry. The latest generation of gas sensors, the BME690, is equipped with innovative artificial intelligence capabilities to monitor gas, temperature, pressure and humidity. The BME690 is based on Bosch Sensortec's BME688 and BME680 sensors and is refined using a proven and proven platform. The new sensor is pin-compatible and has the same 3 x 3 x 0.93mm3 compact size, making it easy to integrate into plug-and-play upgrades.
The BME690 is ideal for monitoring indoor air quality from high concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) produced by cleaning products, cooking fumes, or other common volatile organic compound (VOC) sources. It is also ideal for use in breath analysis (monitoring volatile organic compounds and hydrogen sulfide), as well as food freshness detection to prevent food waste by detecting food spoilage in a timely manner.
The BME690 offers plug-and-play operation with powerful AI capabilities powered by Bosch Sensortec's BME AI-Studio software tool. Customers can easily develop customized solutions and quickly get ahead of the competition.
The new BME690 consumes up to 50% less power than the previous generation BME688 sensor, making it ideal for portable battery-powered applications such as wearables and asset tracking. The BME690 is uniquely designed to ensure greater robustness in high-condensing indoor environments and is suitable for products such as home appliances and kitchen range hoods. Sensors comply with WELL building standards and RESET air standards.
