Bourns MEMS Technology Upgrade Makes Great Leap Forward, Launches New Humidity Sensor Series

     Bourn introduces a new environmental sensor based on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology. Compared to the Bourns BPS230 humidity sensor, the new Bourns BPS240 series offers more advanced features. Enhanced features include: Fast digital (I2C) output response time of less than 1 second, and higher accuracy (typical 2% RH accuracy). Bourns' newest line of humidity sensors offers increased reliability and performance in a smaller form factor (2.0 x 2.0 x 1.25 mm).

     The Bourns BPS240 series is designed to meet the needs of advanced sensors to instantly update relative humidity levels in a variety of industrial automation, energy, building and home control, and low/medium risk medical applications. The sensor family also features low voltage operation, reduced current consumption and reliable embedded capacitive technology to help meet the requirements of energy efficient applications.
