Bourns introduces micro heat breaker

Bourns AD and SD Micro Thermal Cutoff (TCO) devices are reset micro circuit breaker devices that provide advanced over temperature protection technology. These TCO devices feature a highly rated corrosion resistant bimetallic mechanism for better durability in humid environments. SD and AD TCO have non-automatic reset (self-hold function) and automatic reset (non-self-hold function).

These TCO devices have overcurrent protection and control exceptions, and current reaches the rated limit almost instantaneously. SD and AD TCO devices operate with a maximum resistance of 4mΩ, trip temperature range of 55°C to 150°C, and tolerance of ±5°C. These TCO devices are ideal for use in heaters, motors, battery packs, and lithium-ion batteries for personal computers, tablets, smartphones, and power banks.
