Bourns introduces three new series of rotating potentiometer models

     Bourns announces the launch of three new families of rotary potentiometer models that offer enhanced features and a variety of new design options. The model PRS11R Rotating Metal shaft Potentiometer series, Model PRS12R Rotating Metal shaft potentiometer series and Model PRS14R Rotating plastic shaft potentiometer series provide designers with additional switching, shaft configuration, vertical and horizontal PC pin orientation, and positioning options depending on the model. The versatility offered by these options makes the new Bourns rotary potentiometer an ideal solution for a variety of user interface controls in professional audio and lighting applications, low - and medium-risk medical and laboratory equipment, and industrial automation controls.

     All three models of the series have an IP 40 seal class and a small form factor with a through-hole mount. The PRS11R model has a rated rotation period of 15,000, an operating temperature range of -20°C to + 70°C, and instantaneous switching and flat shaft options. The PRS12R series has a 10,000-turn rating and offers flat, slotted and knurled shafts as well as positioning devices. The PRS14R series also has a rotational cycle rating of 15,000, an operating temperature range of -10°C to + 70°C, and a braking device.
