Bourns introduces two series of thick film resistors with high power dissipation capability

     Bourns, the world's leading manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection and sensing solutions, introduces the new Riedon™ PF2203 and PFS35 series of high-power thick film resistors. These two series are important additions TO Bourns' extensive high-power resistor product line, featuring compact TO-220 and DPAK packages with low inductance, superior pulse processing capabilities and power ratings up to 35W for significantly improved circuit stability and measurement accuracy.

     Bourns offers the Riedon™ PF2203 and PFS35 series of high-power thick film resistors with a wide range of resistance values from 10 MΩ to 51 kΩ, operating temperatures from -55 to +175 °C, and optional resistance tolerances of ±1% and ±5%. These resistors are designed to meet market demands for higher power dissipation and smaller packages. Among them, the DPAK surface mount package provided by the PFS35 series is particularly popular, which not only helps to reduce the size of the product, but also effectively reduces the manufacturing cost.

     The characteristics of Bourns' new thick film resistors make them the ideal solution for current limiting, current measurement, and capacitive discharge needs in a wide range of applications such as industrial motor drives, AC-DC and DC-DC power converters, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
