Bourns launched two car gauge high current shielded power inductor mechanical strength greatly improved

     Bourns has introduced two new types of large current shielded power inductors, which can enhance the mechanical strength even in harsh vibration applications. Bourns SRP1038WA and SRP1265WA shielded power inductor series are designed with wider side terminal lead frame, which can withstand 15 G standard or 30 G peak vibration, so they exceed 5 G three to six times of AEC-Q200 standard requirements respectively. Vibration test is conducted according to MIL-STD-202 method 204. These two products also have compact package, high saturation current, low DC resistance, low buzzing noise and excellent temperature stability in the wide temperature range of – 55 to+165 ° C. These characteristics make this series of AEC-Q200 compliant vehicle scale power inductors ideal for power management and EMI filtering in various consumer, automotive, industrial and telecom electronic applications

     Compared with the existing models, the width of the side terminal frame can be increased by more than 50% without increasing the package size or the required PCB area, thus adding advanced functions to the industry-leading shielded power inductor product portfolio. Bourns new inductor series adopts metal alloy powder core and adhesive with unique formula, and uses molded structure manufacturing process. The magnetic shielding design reduces magnetic field radiation, and the metal alloy powder core can provide high saturation current. The use of high temperature grade materials can achieve a wide operating temperature range suitable for a variety of harsh environmental applications. The maximum operating temperature of these new models is+165 ° C, which is higher than Bourns ® The standard SRP-A power inductor is 10% higher.
