Bourns launches a new series of high-Q micro size chip inductors

     Bourns released CWF1610 and CWF2414 chip inductor series. The two inductors adopt a winding structure on the ferrite core to provide high inductance, Q value and self resonance frequency, and provide low DC resistance in a compact size within the operating temperature range of - 40 to+125 ° C. These characteristics make this series very suitable for RF signal processing, resonant circuit, decoupling, noise filter and DC power line applications of earphones, cable modems, digital video conversion boxes, hard disks, tablets and various portable electronic devices.

     Compared with multilayer or thin film technology, the thicker winding structure around the magnetic core can achieve lower DC resistance and high Q value of 13 to 16 in these miniature inductors. In addition, the high Q design of the new inductor provides high impedance when the LC circuit of inductor and capacitor resonates, and low loss when operating at high frequency. Bourns ®  CWF1610 and CWF2414 chip inductors also have high self resonant frequency, can be converted into low distributed capacitance, and maintain inductance characteristics in a wide frequency range. Bourns' new chip inductor has a saturation current of up to 860/1100 mA and a rated current of up to 700/1300 mA, meeting the requirements of maintaining high inductance under higher peak current in DC power supply applications.
