Bourns' new extended push-pull transformer product line delivers superior isolated power performance for serial communication applications

     Bourns, a leading manufacturer of electronic components in the world, has launched the new PAD00x-T764 isolation transformer series. The new transformer features functional isolation and a thin 0.4 mm profile to simplify isolated power sources and serial communication signal integrity in CAN, RS-485, RS-422, RS-232, SPI, I2C, and LAN-based low-power applications. The Bourns PAD00x-T763 family is ideal for industrial automation, embedded solutions, AC motor drivers, systems integration, communications physical layer, smart metering, and many more applications requiring low DC power.

     The Bourns PAD00x-T764 series has been developed to simplify and maintain proper communication between systems with the necessary isolation. 3.1 kVAC resistance provides an isolation barrier against high voltage risks, such as high voltage batteries. Design details include a structure with a ferrite ring core that helps ensure high coupling coefficients and greater efficiency. Transformer windings enhance EMI performance, thus reducing the interference of electromagnetic scattering. Bourns® PAD00x-T764 series transformers with Texas Instruments SN6501 and SN6506B, Maxim MAX253 and MAX845, Analog Devices ADM2485, and similar transformer drivers are compatible. The series offers 3.3 to 5 V inputs, industry standard 3.3 to 10 V outputs, and up to 250 mA outputs with various turn ratios. The Bourns magnetic product line also supports parameter modification and customization requirements for this push-pull transformer series.
