The next-generation family is designed using Bourns' proprietary advanced calculator simulation technology and offers industry-leading maximum pulse voltage limit specifications. Bourns' latest generation GDT25 series offers significantly enhanced protection against induced voltage transients such as lightning strikes and AC induction. Compared to current standard GDT designs, the level of protection is enhanced, providing tighter voltage limits during rapid rise events and reducing stress on downstream components.

     These specific Bourns GDT25 series models have excellent current handling capabilities, offering a wide range of voltage ranges and exceeding industry standard 5 mm surface mount GDTs with lightning surge current ratings of 5 kA.
