Broadcom's ACNU-250L provides high voltage protection and signal isolation in confined Spaces

Broadcom's acu - 250l is a single channel 1 MBd optocoupler device with an SO8 footprint of 11mm. The device is provided with an insulating layer between the light-emitting diode and the integrated photon detector to provide electrical insulation between the input and output. Compared with the traditional photoelectric transistor coupler, the photodiode bias and output transistor collector have separate connections, which reduces the base collector capacitance and increases the data speed by 100 times.

The ACNU-250L is ideal for isolating communication logic interfaces and controls for high-voltage power systems, space-constrained industrial applications, renewable inverters, and medical devices. The package platform features a wide 11 mm creepage and 10.5 mm clearance, a high insulation voltage of V(IORM) = 1414 V(peak), and a compact footprint that is an upgrade and 40% smaller than the popular HCNW/ACNW 400 mil DIP-8 package.
