C&K, a leading manufacturer of high-reliability electromechanical switches, has announced the launch of its ZPA series of surface-mount (SMT) microswitches. The new switch has a surface-mount terminal, saving valuable space on the printed circuit board. The switches are suitable for fully automatic reflow soldering, which will ensure that they can be welded to the printed circuit board with high consistency and quality joints.
C&K's new ZPA series is the latest addition to C&K's portfolio of microswitches. Switches are suitable for a variety of applications, including as detection switches mounted on printed circuit boards, communication devices, test equipment, security/alarm systems, and consumer electronics.
The ZPA switch has A reliable micromotion mechanism with a rated mechanical service life of 1 million cycles and a rated electrical service life of 300,000 cycles (0.1A), making it ideal for long life cycle applications. There are two types of starter, greatly increasing the flexibility to meet specific customer needs.
"Currently, design engineers have limited options for SMT microswitches," said Jeffrey Phan, global product Manager at C&K. "The new ZPA family offers a better choice than the competition, is compact, performs reliably, and has a long electrical and mechanical life."
