C&K, a leading manufacturer of high-reliability electromechanical switches, has announced the launch of its new push switch with light, the KLS series LED SPDT/DPDT push switch. With positive haptic feedback and a wide selection of LED light colors, the KLS series is ideal for the latest vending machine, network equipment, self-service terminals or professional audio/video equipment designs.

The KLS series is available in momentary action or lock versions with SPDT or DPDT contact configurations. This gives engineers the application versatility needed for today's innovative product designs, while still ensuring they have the same switch housing size. The use of gold or silver contact materials makes the product suitable for a wider range of applications, including low-power circuits.

A wide variety of LED lights, as well as a variety of housing colors and styles, provide engineers with the flexibility to clearly indicate the on/off position of the switch and its identification on the complex control panel. In addition, designers can add standard or custom markers, such as symbols, to the lamp housing to represent the function of the switch.

C&K's new KLS series is packaged in a special process for wave soldering assembly, which makes the welding process cleaner, faster and easier. The operating temperature range of the switch is -40 ° C to + 85 ° C, and the mechanical operation life is 1,000,000 times, and the electrical operation life is 200,000 times (this is true for both gold and silver plated products).

Edward Mork, Global Product Manager, C&K, said: "At C&K, we pride ourselves on making long-lasting switches, and we pride ourselves on providing engineers with as many options as possible to meet their unique product design needs. "The new KLS series of switches will help designers further enhance the customer experience by adapting customizable push-button switches with lights to their needs."
