C&K introduces new KSC overload friendly switch

     C&K, a leading manufacturer OF high-reliability electromechanical switches, has announced the launch of the new KSC Overload Friendly (KSC OF) switch. This is a first for a wide range of possible high-end custom applications in different market segments, including but not limited to industrial, consumer, medical and automotive markets.

     The KSC OF is a variant of C&K's existing well-known KSC series. It features an overload value of up to 200N (one-time) and an innovative design with an extended housing that allows customers to use the top of the housing as an interface with a built-in mechanical limit device.

     In addition, the new KSC OF has a compact size of 6.2 × 6.2 × 5.1 mm and J-curved terminals (a soft silicon starter), and a service life of up to 300,000 cycles at 20N starting power. All OF these improvements together make KSC OF an excellent choice to enhance the customer experience.

     The main difficulty encountered by the engineers was the introduction of mechanical limit devices in the design integration process. The KSC OF meets this requirement by overcoming built-in tolerances and space issues with high overload values. It was developed to address this unmet customer need.
