Common Mode Semiconductor Launches LDO Regulator GM1500

The GM1500 is an ultra-compact, low quiescent current, low dropout regulator (LDO) capable of delivering 700mA output current. It supports an input range of 0.75V to 5.5V and an output range of 0.5V to 3.7V, maintaining a high accuracy of 1.5% across load, line, and temperature, making it ideal for powering microcontroller (MCU) core voltages and analog sensors.
Its main power input, VIN, can be connected to a supply only 150mV higher than the output voltage. Additionally, the device uses a VBIAS rail to power the internal LDO circuits, supporting extremely low input voltages. With a low quiescent current draw of 6.8µA at the IN pin and 26µA at the BIAS pin, the GM1500 is highly efficient for power-sensitive applications. It also features an active discharge circuit for quick output discharge when disabled, ensuring a known startup state.
The GM1500 comes in a 6-pin, 2.00mm × 2.00mm DFN package, ideal for space-constrained applications, and can serve as a replacement for models like TI's TPS7A11.
