Compact, battery-powered multi-sensor platform from Laird Connectivity Sentrius

     Laird Connectivity's Sentrius BT510 sensor. It is a compact, battery-powered multi-sensor platform that provides reliable Bluetooth 5 long-distance connectivity and is ideally suited as a solution for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. It also supports temperature, on-off, motion, and collision sensing, as well as multiple Bluetooth 5 features such as long range connectivity (coded PHY), security features, and Bluetooth low power beacons. The module integrates the field-proven, remote Laird Connectivity BL654 series module with the Nordic nRF52840 system-on-chip (SoC), providing advanced processing power and enabling the development of feature-rich applications with 1MB flash memory.

     The Sentrius BT510 sensor uses very low power and is powered by a replaceable CR2477 button battery, allowing for years of performance with simple, intuitive maintenance. This versatile sensor is future-ready, with automatic OTA updates via a supported mobile application and, in a few months, cloud deployment with the help of Laird Connectivity Sentrius IG60 IoT Gateway integration support.

     The Sentrius BT510 sensor takes just a few minutes to deploy and is certified by several international bodies, including the FCC, IC, CE, MIC, RCM and Bluetooth Technology Alliance. Housed in a rugged IP67 rated housing with an easy-to-use twist lock design, the unit can be used in harsh environments for applications such as environmental monitoring, industrial heating and cooling, food safety monitoring, and cold chain management.
