FCI announced the launch of a range of advanced power distribution connectors for mobile communications applications. The PwrBlade+TM series connectors not only have high linear current density and low power loss, but are also rugged, providing the ideal solution for truck and trailer communication equipment.
The PwrBlade+TM series of connectors features high-power contacts that are optimized for the shrapnel design and significantly increase linear current density in a compact package. In the static air environment, if the temperature rise does not exceed 30°C, the rated current of the contact can reach 75A. The PwrBlade+TM series connectors have a wide operating temperature range from -40oC to +125oC, and their vents are designed to maximize heat dissipation, so they can effectively cool down even in the most extreme conditions, ensuring superior performance.
The PwrBlade+TM series connectors address the two different requirements of power applications and improve power management through the expandable space design of the front end. The power distribution connector features up to 20 power contacts, together with 0 to 148 signal contacts, providing three levels of power and signal contact sequence.
The PwrBlade+TM series connectors are equipped with a welded or crimped upper plate for coplanar, right-angle and sandwich connections, and these connection options make the PwrBlade+TM connectors suitable for almost any scenario in communications devices that require various combinations of power and signal configuration connections. The connector is ideal for integration within 1U/2U servers, storage devices, telecommunication and data communications/networking devices.
