Cosel announced the addition of a 6W strong isolation DC/DC converter, which is mainly used for medical, industrial and ICT applications. It is packaged in a single series (SIP) 8-type package, has 3kVAC/4.2kVAC reinforced insulation, complies with the medical isolation standard (2MOOP (250VAC)), uses a reinforced design, and is suitable for industrial applications with input/output differential pressure. There are three input voltages (4.5V-18V; 9V-36V and 18V-76V), including single output (MHFS6) and dual output (MHFW6), which are widely used. MH6 is built for performance. The maximum insulation capacitance is only 20pF, which can reduce noise transmission. Kesso MH has a unique design, is produced in Japan, and the warranty period is 5 years.
Adhering to the design concept of high reliability, Kesso MH6 series has reinforced insulation. According to the safety standards, 3kVAC and 4.2kVAC insulation tests have been carried out, and its transformer design can withstand the potential voltage difference in industrial applications. Because of long-term experience in power supply design of IGBT drive equipment, Kesso designers applied the best practice of high power and strong isolation to this low power 6W MH6 series to reduce isolation fatigue caused by differential high voltage in motor control or IGBT drive. Keso has tested and verified it, and provided the expected life curve in the application manual to help the system architect develop the gate controller of industrial equipment with correct design rules and precautions.
For medical applications, MH6 series meets the 2MOOP (250VAC) (operator protection means) isolation requirements specified in the third edition of IEC60601-1 standard. In order not to have a large number of goods in stock, and to be easy to install and maintain, the system designer requires that the input voltage range of the DC/DC converter be as large as possible. Based on the above requirements, Kesso MH6 series provides three wide input voltages: 4.5V to 18V (covering 12V battery applications), 9V to 36V (including 12V and 24V battery systems), and 18V to 76V (applicable to 24V and 48V systems). MH6 series has five single output voltage models: 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V (MHFS6) and two two output voltage models:+/- 12V and+/- 15V (MHFW6). Two output types can be used in series, providing 24V or 30V output. Single output MHFS6 can adjust the output voltage by using the "Vout Trim pin" on the secondary side.
MH6 series built-in over-current protection circuit has automatic recovery function. The standard has a negative logic remote control pin (L: on, H: off). MH6 series can work in the non condensing environment with temperature of - 40 to+85 ℃ and relative humidity of 20% to 95%. Depending on the cooling, the power derating applies to measuring points with a temperature not exceeding+105 ° C. In order to reduce transmission noise, Kessel R&D personnel reduced the isolation capacitance to the lowest level possible, with the maximum capacitance of only 20pF, which is a huge advantage when supplying power to the motor control system.
In some cases, industrial equipment and medical equipment will be affected by vibration, which may cause damage to SIP pin products. In order to avoid pin damage, Keso MH6 series pins are poured with epoxy resin, which strengthens the connection between PCB board and module, making the device more reliable when used in demanding applications. MH6 series has passed the vibration test: 10-55Hz 98.0m/s2 (10G), 3 minutes as a cycle, 60 minutes along the X, Y, Z axis; Vibration test: 490.3m/s2 (50G) for 11ms, once along X, Y and Z axes respectively.
For medical and industrial applications, MH6 series has been approved by the certification authority: UL62368-1, EN62368-1, c-UL (equivalent to CAN/CSA-C22.2 No.62368-1), ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1, the third edition EN60601-1, c-UL (equivalent to CAN/CSA-C22.2 No.60601-1). In order to reduce the circuit board space of users, MH6 series is packaged with SIP8, and the package size is 26.0 × twelve × 9.5mm [1.03 × zero point four eight × 0.38 inch] (W × H × D) , the maximum weight is 8g. MH6 series power modules comply with RoHS directives and are CE marked according to low-voltage directives. c
