     Cosel announces the MGF80, a highly reliable 80W DC/DC converter. The MGF80 product is packaged in an industry-standard 2-by-1-inch, six-sided metal housing, designed to meet Corso's stringent standards for high performance and reliability, giving the company a world-class product with a failure rate of less than 30 parts per million. The MGF80 has a long component life, making it one of the most reliable DC/DC converters in its class. That's why Corso offers an encouraging 10-year warranty on the MGF80 series. To guarantee its service life, the MGF80 does not use aluminum or tantalum capacitors.

     The MGF80 series is suitable for a wide range of demanding applications and offers two inputs: 9V-36V and 18V-76V. The single-output series MGFS80 has four DC output voltages of 3.3V, 5V, 12V and 15V, and can also be adjusted within a range of ±10% using a bridge or potentiometer. The Dual output MGFW80 series is available in ±12V (24V) and ±15V (30V) output voltage options.

     Thanks to synchronous rectification and soft switching technology, the MGF80 series has a unique efficiency of up to 94%. All models offer up to 81.6W of usable power. However, in order to maintain high performance, the output power of MGFS80243R3 with an output voltage of 3.3V is limited to 59.4W.

     Specifically designed for power-demanding applications, the MGF80 series has a wide operating temperature range from -40 ° C to +85 ° C, with a housing that can withstand temperatures up to +110 ° C. MGF80 has overcurrent, overvoltage and overheat protection functions, in order to prevent overheating, when the temperature reaches the maximum permissible safe temperature, the overheat protection switch will automatically turn off the device.

     The MGF80 series is rugged and has been tested to work in harsh environments and has passed a 10G triaxial vibration test and a 50G shock test. With a six-sided brass nickel-plated metal housing, the standard size is 50.8×25.4×9.9mm (2×1×0.39 inches), using lead-free copper-plated pins, the product weighs only 50 grams.

     The insulation voltage of the input and output terminals of the MGF80 series is 1500VDC, and the insulation voltage from the input and output terminals to the housing is 1000VDC. Passed UL62368-1, C-UL [CSA62368-1), EN62368-1 and CE Low Voltage certification 2014/35/EU. MGFS80 and MGFW80 are RoHS compliant.
