Cypress introduces the industry's first 4Mb serial F-RAM

     Cypress Semiconductor Corporation announced the launch of a series of 4Mb serial ferroelectric random access memory (F-RAM™), the industry's largest serial F-RAM. The 4Mb serial F-RAM features a 40-Mhz serial peripheral interface (SPI) operating voltage range from 2.0 to 3.6V in an industry-standard RoHS-compliant package. All of Cypress's F-Rams provide 100 trillion read/write lives, with data retention of up to 10 years at 85˚C and up to 151 years at 65˚C.

     F-RAM from Cypress is ideal for applications that require continuous, frequent, high-speed data reads and writes and require absolute data security. This 4Mb series of serial F-RAM meets the needs of mission-critical applications such as industrial control and automation, industrial metrology, multifunction printers, test and measurement devices, and wearable healthcare.
