Delivers 94% efficiency of 1200W full brick DC-DC converter

     TDK has introduced the TDK-Lambda PH1200A280 full brick DC-DC converter for high voltage DC input voltages from 200VDC to 425VDC. This further extends the PH-A280 series - power levels include 50W, 75W, 100W, 150W, 300W, 600W and now 1200w. The device has overvoltage and overcurrent protection, a five-year warranty, and can operate at altitudes up to 5,000 meters. The series is fully isolated with input-to-output isolation for 3000vac, 2500vac input to backboard, and 500VAC output to backboard. Safety certification is IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 standard, CE and UKCA mark low voltage and RoHS directive

     The converter has a range of five output voltages :12V, 24V, 28V, 36V and 48V. They offer a wide adjustment range of -40% to +20% to accommodate non-standard voltages. They are packaged in industry-standard full brick (61mm x 12.7mm x 116.8mm) with an efficiency of 94% and can operate at full load at bottom plate temperatures between -40C and + 100C.

     The converter can conduct cooling, making it suitable for sealed outdoor enclosures or liquid cooling applications. Three tailor-made radiators are available for forced air or convection cooling systems. As standard, these DC-DC converter modules provide current-sharing circuitry and internal Oring FeTs for redundancy or higher power requirements. Remote control switch, output adjustment, telemetry, 12V auxiliary output, good module signal.

     These power modules are ideal for semiconductor test equipment, transmission lines, data communications, industrial and renewable energy applications that use HVDC distributed power architecture systems with input voltages ranging from 200VDC to 425VDC.
