AL1698K high-efficiency dimmable LED driver is a high-efficiency, high-performance, high power factor, high current precision boost, step-down boost and flyback dimmable LED driver, specially designed for SCR dimmable LED lamp applications. The AL1698K High Efficiency Dimmable LED driver is a high efficiency, high performance, high power factor, and high current accuracy boost, step-down boost, and flyback dimmable LED driver designed specifically for thyristor dimmable LED lamp applications. The AL1698K allows precise output current on integrated line and load regulation.

The Boost topology enables device efficiency of more than 90%, meeting the high efficiency requirements of lighting regulation. Wide switching frequencies operate in boundary conduction mode (BCM) to simplify EMI/EMC design and testing.

Diode's AL1698K High Efficiency Dimmable LED driver features built-in high voltage JFETs, which provide a fast startup time for the system and a simple and stable V(CC) power supply design for the user. The AL1698K LED driver integrates a 600V/2A high voltage MOSFET. It can cover both 120VAC and 230VAC thyristor dimming applications, eliminating external high voltage MosFeTs and reducing system BOM costs.

The AL1698K has built-in thermal folding protection trigger points to automatically reduce output current. Additional protection features enhance the safety and reliability of LED lighting systems.

AL1698K dimming curve meets NEMA SSL6 standard. The AL1698K is suitable for a wide range of dimmers, such as leading and trailing edges, and can achieve depth dimming up to 1%. The AL1698K LED driver is installed in the SO-7 package.
