Diodes Incorporated AL1698K high efficiency dimmable LED driver

     Diodes Incorporated AL1698K High Efficiency Dimmable LED driver is a high efficiency, high performance, high power factor, high current accuracy boost, step-boost, and flyback dimmable LED driver designed for use in three terminal bidirectional thyristor dimmable LED lamp applications. The package is SO-7.

     The AL1698K provides accurate output current throughout the line and load regulation range. The booster topology enables the device to achieve an efficiency of over 90%, meeting the high efficiency requirements of lighting regulations. Boundary conduction mode (BCM) has a wide switching frequency, which is conducive to EMI/EMC design and testing.

     Diodes Inc AL1698K High Efficiency Dimmable LED drivers feature built-in high voltage JFets that provide a fast startup for the system, resulting in a simple and stable VCC power supply design for the user. The AL1698K LED driver integrates a 600V/2A high voltage MOSFET. It can be used in 120VAC and 230VAC tri-terminal bi-directional SCR dimmable applications without the need for an external high-voltage MOSFET, thereby reducing system BOM costs.

     The AL1698K has a built-in thermal reentry protection trigger point that automatically reduces the output current. Other protection features improve the safety and reliability of LED lighting systems.AL1698K dimming curve conforms to NEMA SSL6 standard. The AL1698K is suitable for a variety of dimmers, such as front and back edge dimmers, to achieve a depth of up to 1%.
