Diodes Incorporated AL5871Q 55V linear LED driver is an automotive single channel linear LED driver with PWM and analog dimming control functions. The LED driver can drive up to 750mA current, which is controlled by a low-power reference resistor connected to the REF pin. The AL5871Q LED driver can precisely adjust the LED current up to ± 4%, with excellent PWM and analog dimming performance. When the AL5871Q cannot detect the PWM signal, it will automatically trigger the standby mode to save power consumption.

Diodes Incorporated AL5871Q 55V Linear LED drivers are automotive grade single channel linear LED drivers with PWM and analog dimming control. The LED driver is capable of driving up to 750mA of current, which is controlled by a low-power reference resistor connected to the REF pin. The AL5871Q LED driver accurately regulates LED current up to ±4% with excellent PWM and analog dimming performance.

AL5871Q automatically triggers standby mode when PWM signal is not detected to save power consumption. The linear LED driver monitors the temperature and reduces the LED current when the chip temperature exceeds the threshold temperature. Input undervoltage locking (UVLO), LED light string open/short circuit protection, and overheat protection (OTP) are designed for automotive applications to improve system robustness. If any protection is triggered, the FAULTB pin is pulled into the low level.

The AL5871Q comes in a TSSOP-16EP (DX type) package that provides a constant current for a single LED light string with a one-device failure all-device shutdown feature. Typical applications include blind spot detection indicators, charging sockets, side signs, and reading lights.
