Diodes Incorporated AP62500 step-down converter

     Diodes Incorporated AP62500 step-down converters have a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 18V and 5A continuous output current. Available in 400kHz, 800kHz, or 1.2MHz switching frequency options, in V-QFN2030-12 (Type A) package. Fully integrated with a 47 Mω high-side power MOSFET and 18 Mω low-side power MOSFET, the AP62500 provides efficient step-down DC-DC conversion.

     The device uses constant on-time (COT) control to achieve fast transient response, easy loop stability, and low output voltage ripple while minimizing the number of external components.

     Diodes AP62500 step-down converters are optimized to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). The converter uses a proprietary grid driver scheme to suppress switching node ringing without affecting MOSFET on and off times, thus reducing high-frequency radiation EMI noise caused by MOSFET switches.
